Dave Matthews Band

So I went back to my first Dave Matthews Band concert in three years last night. Although I live in constant fear of overuse of hyperbole, it was in a word, Incredible.
Great sound, great company, great seats, terrible weather that did not affect me under the shell in the slightest.
I love the new songs, specifically "Why I Am".
If you want to hear the new album for free go to:

Friday Music-On Wednesday
Going to Dave today. As Sid would say, either going to be really good, or really bad.
Lake George etc.

Lake George is beautiful. I know this because I just used The Google to search for this image of the the picturesque lake.
The Lake George that I saw however, the fleeting glimpses between the trees and the drunken haze of this past weekend looked nothing like this.
I thought that it would. I packed a beach towel, swim trunks and sun screen. What I found however was beer for breakfast, a Buddabrew© and a guy who managed to simultaneously puke and piss to help two women complete their scavanger hunt.
I honestly did not know that my body could digest that much alcohol.
I was once again reminded why I would never, ever put my life in the hands of my college roommates. I love them for what they are, which is awesome but unreliable.
My brain has been in a sort of fog for four days as I try to recover. I somehow convinced myself, while in this alcohol induced fog, that getting last minute tickets to Dave Matthews today was a good idea. I literally decided I wanted to go less than 24 hrs ago. I am feeling a bit reckless I think.

Obama's Supreme Court Nominee
I have not been paying a ton of attention to politics. For a few reasons. Firstly, I voted for the guy because I trusted him to make good decisions, so I feel a sense of calm, making it unnecessary to pay too much attention.
Secondly, it is baseball season.
I am feeling good about this though.

Friday Morning Music
Less Than Jake "The Ghosts of You and Me"
The greatest live band I have ever seen.
Big weekend in Lake George. Leaving work ASAP.

RDJR
Once again proving that Robert Downey Jr. is the man.
This looks awesome. Too bad it doesn't come out this summer, I could add it to my summer movie line-up.
Speaking of my summer movie line-up. I am going to miss the opening weekend of Terminator, Salvation. I am going camping all weekend, which will as Sidwould say is either going to be really good, or really bad. That being said, the movie looks friggen awesome. And seeing as Star Trek was better than Wolverine, it only stands to reason that Terminator will be better than Star Trek, and so on.
Sorry for the lazy writing lately. I have been brain dead since school ended.

Here Lies Dobby, A Free Elf

Location filming of the "Shell Cottage" scenes for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows are underway.
Above is a shot of Harry digging *********SPOILER READ THE BOOK ASSHOLE******** Dobby's grave.
I actually teared up writing the title of this post. The section of the book that takes place at Shell Cottage, to me is among the most powerful in the series. While digging Dobby's grave Harry makes a decision that will directly effect not only his life but the lives of all that he loves and cares about.
Horcruxes or Hallows? Harry, for the first time in the series, has no one to turn to, no Dumbledore, no Sirius, no Hagrid to help him with his choice. Horcruxes or Hallows.
I recently finished reading book 7, and this scene was more powerful this time than any time previous. I was never a fan of Dobby and actually found him a bit irritating. Until he sacrificed his free life, to save Harry and his friends.
A Free Elf Indeed.

Weekend Update
I just ran into a guy who hates it. Hasn't seen it, won't go see it, but hates it. My reply, Get a friggen life and go see the movie before you decide it is the worst thing in the world, dick.
Two for Two
First Wolverine (which looks like a steaming pile of shit next to this) now Star Trek, next Terminator.
I am now two for two on summer movies. As soon as I left I could not wait for the next installment. I was never a huge Star Trek fan, I have always appreciated it from a distance. I laughed, cried, sat on the edge of my seat, and seriously enjoyed this film. Well played, well played indeed.

Where I'm At

Today I am hating Shane Victorino. He is actually becoming my least favorite player in the league, including Alex Rodriguez.
He has a fat face, which pisses me off. She, I mean He showboats then complains when Reyes Showboats. He interfered with Reyes last night, then stood there with this stupid look on his stupid face like, "got 'cha". I hate this fat little Hawaiian.
I guessed Manny was on steriods. This does not shock me, no one shocks me. If it came out today that David Wright tested positive, I would not be shocked.
We as a society have the most hypocritical stance on the subject of performance enhancing drugs. I don't care. I think the way we have portrayed Barry Bonds as an enemy of the state is unfair. Do I think he took drugs, knowingly? Yes. Do I care, No.
As long as a guy seems sorry, we are quick to forgive. As long as a guy has the good sense to get out before he gets caught, (yes I am looking at you Brett Boone), we don't care.
I don't care. I think Manny is still one of the best right handed hitters in the history of the game. Do I think Albert Pujols, arguably the best firstbasemen in the history of the game has done so without the assistance of something banned? No.
--------------------------------------
My semester ended this week. (aside from the project that I still have to do next week that I don't even want to think about right now).
Getting my Masters is harder than I thought it would be.
I saw Wolverine. It was sweet. It kicked off my summer movie extravaganza. Star Trek next, the Terminator, it just keeps getting better.
I assulted an elderly woman yesterday when I was supposed to voulenteering at an elderly home. I sprayed her in the face with purple puffy paint. Sorry Gladys.

I Have My Own Website
Oh my god, I have my own website.
And I have completely neglected it for over a week.
I hate the Mets.
I hate school.
Not crazy about my job.
Wolverine was sweet, nice way to kick off the summer movie season, which I am jacked for. I have a movie about once every two weeks that I cannot wait to see.
