Opening Day

Although the weather may not feel like it, today is in fact opening day. And with that I think it is time to roll out what has become a bit of tradition around here on the Head.

One of the all-time great moments in baseball.

I spent way way too long on pre-season predictions last year so let me run through this a bit faster this year.

AL East

Red Sox-Too much pitching
Rays- Too good and young
Yankees-400 million just doesn't buy what it used to. Mariano's arm will fall off eventually
Orioles-Heading in the right direction
Jays-Heading in the wrong direction, except for hottie Alex Rios

AL Central

Literally throw all five teams in a hat, I blew this one last year big time

Twins- Too much pitching
Indians- Can Hafner and V-Mart bounce back?
Kansas City- Call me crazy
Detroit- What happend here last year
White Sox- Not a huge fan of this club, sorry Obama

AL West

Oakland- Trendy pick but I have liked them longer than Buster Effin Olney
Texas- Too many huge bats
Los Angeles Angels of Anihiem, Orange County, California, The West Coast, The United States, North America, the Western Hemisphere, The World, The Solar System, The Galaxy- I just think they are going to take a step back
Seattle- They suck

NL East

Mets-Don't give me all this "Ghosts of the past" crap. They blew up two years in a row because they didn't have a bullpen. Now they have the best bullpen in baseball.
Braves- eh
Phillies- Who exactly is in their rotation besides Cole Hammels
Marlins-I really dislike this team
Washington- Still crappy

NL Central

Cubs- Stil the best in division
Cardinals- I love this rivalry
Reds- Getting better with a young staff
Brewers- Will miss Sabthia and Sheets
Houston- Kinda Crap
Pittsburgh- Really Crap

NL West

Doders- Who else is in this division
Arizona-Eh
Colorado- Will miss Holliday
San Fran- Much Improved, may have listed them too low. Watch out LA
San Diego- Which of course means a Whale's Vagina

So there you have it. I have about as much Cred on this subject as Buster Fricken Olney and Steve Phillips and somehow they get paid a ton more than I do.
