Crossing a Dangerous Line

I think the McCain/Palin Campaign is playing a very dangerous hand here.

I think they are acting like Crabbe and Goyle, having thrown off the leadership of Malfoy (Dubbya), and embarking on their own, used Fiend Fire in the room of requirement and ultimately costing one of them their lives.

McCain/Palin have a new pet, a very dangerous and unpredictable pet.

McWoodenTeeth and GILFey are tip-toeing across a dangerous line, one which once crossed, cannot be uncrossed. The side-effects of which could be beyond imagination.

They have begun to stoke the fires of Racism with their words at Campaign stops, saying things like Obama is "Dangerous" and that he "Doesn't see the world like you and me". This type of race-bating, divide and conquor, deception has a long ugly history in this country.

Going back to the 1670s in Virginia, those in power have sought to identify and highlight differences between poor whites and poor blacks. One of the results of Bacon's Rebellion (1676), where poor whites and poor blacks fought together against the established aristocracy, was the institution of Racism and devide and conquor tactics used by the powerful.

An angry, disaffected white populace looking for someone to blame for their problems is a dangerous group for McCain/Palin to be pandering to.

What they are doing is attempting to give people who are struggling to make ends meet, someone to blame for their problems.

What they are saying in essence is, We realize you are having a hard time, ignore what we may have done to cause these problems, that's the guy you should be mad at, he is black and hangs out with Terrorists.

In reponse to these tactics we have already heard people in the crowd shout back, "Terrorist" and "Kill 'em" at McCain/Palin rallies.

I think these types of reactions are only going to become more and more prominant. With increased anger, and a feeling of it being ok to express that type of hatred.

If you see the video of McCain yesterday, when he asked "Who are you Senator Obama?" and the guy yelled back "Terrorist", McCain actually looked in the guy's direction and smiled. Much like his reaction to the "How we gonna beat the bitch?" question he answered during the primaries in reference to Hillary Clinton being the presumtive nominee.

By letting things like this go, John McCain and the Vapid Terrorist Lover, are in endorsing these opinions.

This is a dangerous line to cross. Once you unleash this fire you cannot control, don't be suprised if you get Burnt to a Crisp, your political career included.
