He broke 50% in the Gallup Daily Tracking Poll today. What the corportate media, who has a vested interest in this thing staying close is not saying, is that a 5% margin in the national polls equals a blowout, landslide in the electoral college.
The Corporate Media will use only polls, and metrics that make this thing appear close, Obama running away with it is not a story.
