The Problem With the Corporate Media

Here is what is wrong with the Corporate Media.

This morning on the Today Show, they ran a segment pointing out that Sarah Palin is a lying sack of stinking nasty liquid Crap! (I miss you Stephanie Miller Show) It pointed out all of the things that I did in my post about the Palin Bubble Popping.

They exposed the lies, the nepotism, cronyism, and ineptitude that infested her Government in Alaska, and her two weeks on the campaign trail.

All this was wonderful and awesome and made me feel warm and fuzzy that someone in the Corporate Media is doing their jobs.

...Then it all went to shit.

Merideth Vierra (who looks like an uglyier, bitchier version of Katie Couric) brought on Right-Wing Radio Hack Bill Bennett came on and spewed lies and distortions about everything that was reported. He attemped to minimalize what was reported, in the same way the press attempted minimalize Bush bailing out of the Air National Guard in the lead up to the 2000 election.


This is the problem with the corporate media.

They are so afraid of being labeled as Biased, or Left-Wing that they feel they have to present an opposing view-point, even when they are reporting facts, and the facts have a Liberal Biased.

Where was the counter arguments in the lead up to the war in '02. Where was the "fact checking" on Bush going into the '04 election. It seems to me that someone in an editorial board room at these stations is so afraid to tell the truth, that they have to offer the opposing viewpoints of morons like Bennett.
